How to make your VAS5054A working as PassThru under 64bit Windows 7.

You are the only one to blame if something goes wrong, so first make backup of important data, or test this instructions first inside a Virtual Machine or any testing PC.

Remember, i don´t have responsibility of any kind, any problem you solve it, i have test it and it works, and it is free to you to test,, only IF YOU WANT.

First you run the file "D-PDU API V21.14.008 VW PT (PassThru).exe" on prompt to replace or to keep files just click "keep all files",,, after instalation it will ask you to reboot,, just reboot before any other instalation.

After reboot VAS5054 will be listed as a PassThru interface for any software that is working on the same machine under 64bit, but in divice manager there will be no drivers assigned to this interface...

2 options...((if your interface is working with any of this PDU-API you are safe to run it,, because they are original and UNTOUCHED.))

1º "D-PDU_API V1.20.23.rar" should run with most interfaces, including some bad clones with missing parts, or you can use the next option.

2º "EDIC_D_PDU_API_1.20.41.rar" is a more recent version and some CLONES may not work with it,, or may get damage, use this if you have a good quality interface, or if the first option is not working.

Remember.-... Only use this if the first option is not working, or if you know that you interface have already work with same PDU-API.

Now extract the "D-PDU_API V1.20.23/OR/41.rar" to a folder, and run the setup file,, during installation your interface driver will be updated, and if device manager is open you will see listed a new category.

The name is "Softing Vehicle Interface" and with a expand click you will see VAS5054 is listed, and it will be clear that the drivers are installed (no yellow mark).

After the "D-PDU_APIsetup.exe" setup ((at the end)) there is a option to click and open the "Configuration Manager",, test your interface on the "Detailed informatin ...",,, if no connection,, Power OFF and Power ON the VAS5054,, teste again and is working.

If not listed your Serial number, use the "VAS5054A#SERIAL-UPDATE.reg",, first open it (edit),, than replace this 3 places were it have the "111111111" just place your interface Serial number, 9 digits, than save it with a different name and run the Key to add it to Regestry.

((just example,, you must edit the reg file))

To check your serial number,, Start _ALL PROGRAMS _Softhing D-PDU API for VCIs _Edic Hardware installation, you will see the serial listed.

After that, open your software and see if there is your interfaces serial number listed, chose and test on a car.

Xentry PassThru, Techstream and ForScan recognize the VAS5054 as a PassThru interface under 64bit.
